We use recycled and up-cycled silver in our jewellery, which is a far more sustainable alternative to virgin-mined silver. Mining virgin silver is an environmentally damaging process that can cause deforestation, water pollution, and other negative impacts. By using recycled and up-cycled silver, we are able to minimise waste and pollution and reduce the demand for mining new silver.
Upcycling silver offcuts requires less energy compared to the process of mining, refining, and processing new silver. By utilising existing materials, we contribute to energy conservation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with traditional silver production methods.
In addition we actively participate in a circular economy model. Instead of discarding waste, we give it new life, extending the lifespan of materials and reducing the overall waste generated in the jewellery industry.
