There’s something about May that feels like a reset. Not in a big dramatic way, but in that subtle shift kind of way, like clearing out the clutter or opening the windows after a long winter. It just feels like a good time to check in with yourself and make a bit more space for what matters.
This month, I’m leaning into that softness. And if you’re feeling a pull to do the same, to slow down, tune in, and realign, here’s something for you to move with.
May Goals (Soft Power Edition)
Let your energy speak for you.
The older I get, the more I realise that alignment is louder than noise. When you’re rooted in your own truth, you don’t need to explain so much. The quieter it is on the inside, the more clearly things start to fall into place.
Soften into change.
Change doesn’t always need to be a battle. Sometimes it’s about letting go of the fight, leaning into the unknown, and trusting that not knowing is part of the becoming. Life moves in cycles, ebb and flow, and this month I’m choosing to flow, not force.
Protect what already matters.
This one feels big for me right now. It’s easy to focus on what’s next or what’s missing. But what if we just took care of what we already have? The things, people, and parts of ourselves that still feel true and good. That’s where I want my attention to go.
Living with Intention This May
You don’t need a big plan. Just a little awareness. A few gentle shifts can completely change how your days feel. Here are some practices I’m weaving into the month:
-
Unsubscribe from the unnecessary.
Whether it’s a newsletter, a draining habit, or a loud inner voice, give yourself permission to clear some space. -
Start slower.
Even just one full breath before the day begins. You’re allowed to begin soft. -
Do one thing on purpose.
Not perfectly, just with presence. Whether it’s making a cup of tea or replying to a message, let it be deliberate. -
Write down three things you’re saying no to this month.
Let that list be your quiet boundary. -
Follow your natural energy.
Notice where your energy flows without resistance, that’s the direction to honour.
You don’t have to bloom all at once.
You don’t have to force clarity or chase urgency.
You just have to return to yourself, over and over, with kindness.
Here’s to a May that feels like a deep breath.
A quiet return. A soft kind of strength.
