Product Story

An Ode to Evolution

The Silver Snake Ring is not a symbol of gentle change.

It is a symbol of shedding.

Crafted in recycled sterling silver and shaped from the mould of a tiny preserved lizard, this piece carries ancient symbolism, protection, instinct, renewal, and the power to outgrow what no longer fits.

Snakes do not negotiate with their old skin.
They leave it behind.

This ring is for the season when you stop explaining yourself.
When you claim your next chapter without apology.
When evolution isn’t aesthetic, it’s necessary.

Solid. Textured. Unpolished.

Fully adjustable from size H–N, it adapts to how you wear it, full ring or midi, but its meaning remains the same:

Growth that stands its ground.

A piece for those who are done shrinking.
For the grounded.
For the unapologetic.
For the becoming that doesn’t ask permission.

Materials + Care

Handmade in the UK from 100% recycled sterling silver, chosen for both its beauty and sustainability.

Silver naturally develops a patina over time, part of its character, but with the right care it will last for years. To keep your jewellery looking its best, avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, and water, and store in a dry place between wears.

For detailed tips, read our full Jewellery Care & Cleaning Guide.

When this piece is chosen…

You’ve outgrown something.

Not dramatically. Not loudly. Just… clearly. Something no longer fits. And you’re done trying to make it.

You’ve stopped negotiating

There’s a point where you stop going back and forth. With yourself. With other people. With what you already know. This piece tends to be chosen there.

You’re letting it go

Not as a declaration. Not to prove anything. Just a quiet line being drawn. Not becoming someone new. Just removing what isn’t you anymore.

Transformation. New chapter.

I chose the Silver Snake Ring with emerald during a huge transition in my life, changing careers, leaving the city, and moving north in search of a slower, more peaceful way of living. The symbolism of the snake shedding its skin and the emerald being my birthstone made it feel deeply personal. The ring felt like exactly what I needed for this chapter of my life, and it keeps me grounded through all the changes I’m going through.

Shed. Grow. Repeat.

I recently turned 60 and I'm not looking back. When I found the Snake Ring, I knew immediately it was the right piece, even though I don't actually like snakes! What drew me was everything it represents: shedding the old, becoming new, staying focused on what's ahead. I wear it every day and it keeps me centred and on track with the goals I've set for myself. Spectacular craftsmanship and a piece that carries real meaning. Toni's work is stunning.

Hi Caroline, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful story and kind words! I'm thrilled the ring resonates with your journey and that you love the craftsmanship. Wishing you continued growth and happiness! ✨

Stunning and Powerful

I saw this ring and read the description and knew I had to have it. I truly am shedding my skin and casting off what no longer serves me. I am currently going through a divorce and looking down at this on my finger just makes me feel like everything is going to be OK.
It is even more beautiful in person by the way.
Thank you so much.

Hi Dawn, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful story. I'm so glad the ring brings you strength and comfort during this time. Wishing you all the best on your journey! 🩷

Beautiful ring

I bought the snake ring at a time when I was going through a lot of internal change. I wasn’t even looking to buy anything, but the meaning behind the piece really struck a chord with me. It’s become a quiet reminder that change is a good thing, even when it’s uncomfortable. I wear it every day and it genuinely helps keep me on track to take better care of myself.

Hi Jasmin, so happy to hear that the ring resonates with your journey. Thank you for sharing your experience and for choosing EBB & FLO. Wishing you continued growth and strength! 🤍

Simply Stunning!

This ring is something truly unique and one of a kind! To know how it’s been crafted using a real mould is astonishing! I cannot leave without it, it’s a part of me and symbolises the period of growth I’m going through.
I chose pink tourmaline as it’s my birthstone, but also to remind myself in the tough times to be kind to myself. I often find myself looking down at it or twirling it around my finger. I truly couldn’t recommend it anymore than I have!

This means a lot
Choosing something as a reminder to be gentle with yourself, especially in tougher moments, is such a beautiful intention ✨

About this piece...

What does a Snake Ring symbolise?

A snake ring is often associated with transformation. But not surface-level change. It represents shedding, outgrowing what no longer fits and not returning to it. Not gentle change. Necessary change.

What is the spiritual meaning of a snake in jewellery?

Symbolically, the snake is tied to cycles, ending, renewal, and instinct. It doesn’t hold onto what it has outgrown. It sheds it. In jewellery, this connects to moments where something has shifted internally, and can’t be undone. Once it’s shed, it doesn’t go back.

Which finger should you wear a snake ring on?

There isn’t a fixed rule. Some wear it on the hand they use most, so it’s always felt. Others choose instinctively. It’s less about placement… and more about when it feels right to wear it.
